News: New York Stadium preview event
Rothbiz readers are being given the exclusive opportunity to be amongst the first people in South Yorkshire to preview the fantastic New York Stadium in Rotherham.
Located on the site of the old Guest and Chrimes factory close to Rotherham town centre, construction is nearing completion on the £20m development in time for the first match on July 21 against Barnsley.
A free of charge event co-hosted by Rotherham United and Rotherham Investment & Development Office (RiDO) – the business development and regeneration arm of Rotherham Council - is taking place to enable local firms to hear more about the new stadium and the fantastic facilities it has for local businesses.
Readers of Rotherham Business News are being invited along to hear from Rotherham United chairman and owner of Rotherham-based ASD Lighting, Tony Stewart and manager, Steve Evans at the Holiday Inn Rotherham on June 13.
Guests will hear about the new 1925 Club – the region's most exclusive sports and business club with world class hospitality facilities. The club seat membership boasts four lounges and padded seats on the halfway line for the best view and most comfortable matchday experience.
Companies will be able to reserve seats on the night and arrange a stadium visit where they can view the state-of-the-art facilities.
Steve Evans, manager of Rotherham United, said: "The corporate facilities are hugely impressive and the level of detail that has gone into designing the 1925 Club is incredible.
"The chairman has done a fantastic job bringing this club back home to such a superb stadium. Whether you come to the games with customers, friends or family it is exciting times."
Tony Stewart, chairman, Rotherham United, added: "The 1925 Club is a superb club. It is a new breed of matchday hospitality and it will be a landmark for the town. It will be a place where you can do business and grow business in style and comfort.
"I'm so proud this stadium is not just about football but it is about the whole community. It is a seven day a week stadium. It is such as spectacle and will put Rotherham on the map which can only be good for business."
The 12,000 seater stadium will also include 30,000 sq ft of high specification lettable space, available from July 2012.
