News: Leading global tool firm to invest in Rotherham

By

Dormer Tools, part of the Sandvik Group, is to build a new 20,000 sq ft facility at the Advanced Manufacturing Park in Rotherham. One of the Sheffield region’s best-known engineering names, currently based at a site in Worksop, will occupy a state of the art facility which will include global corporate functions, an export service, training centre and a research and development facility. Investments by Yorkshire Forward and the EU's ERDF helped fund the project with DLA Piper involved in the transaction and architects, Bond Bryan, involved in the design. Nigel Bullivant, Dormer’s Chief Information Officer, said: “This initiative signifies Dormer‘s commitment not only to build a new building of some 20,000 sq ft but also for us to be a part of what we are convinced will be a major area for innovation in the heart of the UK and northern Europe."
